    Abstract

Growing Beneath His Wings is an autobiography of Dr. Anne-Marie Moukala-Cadet, it is a story of survival, strength, and courage, from growing up in Cameroon as a young girl, losing her father from a tragic car accident, immigrating in the United States as a young adult and realizing her dream of becoming a physician. As a child she was separated from her mother, at an early age of six, and lost her father at age twelve, the life lessons that her father taught her were her guide while growing up. He instilled in her the love of education, in a culture where educating girls was not considered important and the love of God. These values carried through her teenage years and helped shape her adult life and career plans of becoming a physician. She becomes a family physician and develops the love for medical mission, first in Ghana, then in Haiti after the devastating earthquake of 2010, then in Cameroon. She is the founder and president of Village to Village Care Inc. a nonprofit organization that empowers leaders of villages in developing countries to build and operate a clinic. Villagers are trained by a local hospital to become health care providers, they later return to the village after their training to serve in the clinic. Village to Village Care Inc. assembles a team of medical professionals from the United States of America, that travels to these villages to conduct a medical mission trip and to equip these clinics.
